How many 8 g chargers does one cylinder replace?
A 640 g cylinder holds roughly the gas of 80 traditional 8 g cartridges; a 666–670 g cylinder about 84; a 2 kg tank about 250. Same result, a fraction of the packaging and no empties to sort.
What is the difference between the sizes?
320 g suits low-volume or home use. 640–700 g is the everyday format for most kitchens and bars. 1.3–3 kg tanks are for high-volume service, events and catering where you do not want to swap mid-shift. See the sizing table on the home page.
Do flavoured cylinders change the taste of the cream?
Only subtly, and only if you want them to — the flavour is carried in the gas and comes through as a light aroma. For a completely neutral result choose an unflavoured line.
What purity is your nitrous oxide?
Every brand states its purity on the product page; the lines we carry are food-grade E942, typically 99.9% or better. That is what stops the off-taste and greasy mouthfeel you get from low-grade gas.
Do I need a pressure regulator?
For anything above an 8 g cartridge, yes. A regulator connects the cylinder to a standard whipping siphon and controls the flow; it is a one-time purchase that carries over to every size and brand. We stock them under accessories. 8 g cartridges fit standard whippers directly.
Can I mix flavours in one order?
Yes. Case discounts apply per product; for mixed-flavour pallets, ask the trade desk.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes — $175 on the goods subtotal. It is also our free-delivery threshold, so every qualifying order ships free to the provinces.
Delivery
How fast is delivery?
How much does delivery cost?
Free over $175; otherwise $17.95. Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut are $39.95. Pallets are quoted per order. Details on the delivery page.
Where do you deliver?
Everywhere in Canada, by tracked ground courier. Pressurised cylinders cannot ship by air or to PO boxes and parcel lockers.
Can I track my order?
Yes. You get a tracking link by email as soon as the courier scans your parcel, and it is in your account.
What if my delivery arrives damaged?
Photograph the packaging and contents before unpacking further, then contact us within 48 hours. We replace or refund. Do not use a cylinder that looks dented, corroded or damaged.
Payment
How do I pay?
Interac e-Transfer from any Canadian bank — after checkout our team sends you a payment request link by email and WhatsApp; accept it and we ship as soon as the transfer is deposited. Bulk orders of 50 cases and up can be paid cash on delivery. We do not take cards. See payment methods.
Is paying by Interac e-Transfer safe?
It goes bank to bank with no card details shared, and nothing is ever taken from your account automatically — you accept a request from your own banking app. Only accept requests that quote your order number.
Safety & the law
Is it legal to buy nitrous oxide in Canada?
Yes, for culinary use. Nitrous oxide is a permitted food additive in Canada as a pressure-dispensing agent; it is not a controlled substance. What is not permitted is selling or marketing it for inhalation, which we do not do. Full detail on our legal and safety page.
Do you sell to anyone under 18?
No. We sell to adults 18 and over, may ask for ID before dispatch, and cancel and refund any order we believe is for someone under 18 or for misuse.
How should I store cylinders?
Upright, below 50 °C, out of direct sun, away from heat and out of reach of children. Never puncture, crush or incinerate a cylinder, even an empty one.
How do I dispose of an empty cylinder?
They are recyclable steel or aluminium, but most curbside programs will not take them. Use a depot that accepts compressed-gas containers and declare it as an empty gas cylinder.
Why do you keep saying "culinary use only"?
Because it is the condition of us trading at all, and because misuse is genuinely dangerous — it displaces oxygen and causes nerve damage with repeated exposure. We would rather lose a sale than be ambiguous about it.
Returns, trade & accounts
Can I return an order?
Unopened, unused stock in its original packaging within 14 days of delivery, for a refund or exchange. For safety reasons we cannot accept opened or part-used pressurised cylinders. See returns and refunds.
How do I get trade pricing?
Case discounts are on every product already. For pallets, scheduled deliveries and cash on delivery, request a quote; we reply within one working day.
Do I need an account?
No — you can check out as a guest. An account lets you see past orders, tracking and reorder in a click.
