Sondiko Butane Torch Lighter

A brûlée torch gets picked up mid-plate, so one-handed control counts. The flame regulator and lock button on the Sondiko both sit under the thumb, and the fuel window on the base tells you where you are before service rather than during it. A full 10g fill runs 20 to 50 minutes depending on the flame setting, and it refills from any brand of small butane tank, long nozzle or short. How long a full fill lasts

A full 10 gram fill runs for 20 to 50 minutes, with the range depending on how high the flame is set a low, steady flame for finishing a crème brûlée lasts longer than a full blast used for searing. Checking the fuel window before service tells you which end of that range to expect rather than finding out mid-plate.

Refilling and compatibility

The torch takes any brand of small butane gas tank rather than one proprietary canister, and the included red adapter lengthens the nozzle for tanks with a short spout. That flexibility matters for a kitchen that already buys butane for other equipment and does not want a second, torch-specific fuel to stock.
